Double Homicide Suspect Wanted by BPD

The Bakersfield Police Department is urging the community to be on the lookout for:

Bryson Lepaul Blair, 35 years old, 6’1”, 175 pounds, short hair

Blair has an active arrest warrant for two counts of murder in relation to the double homicide in the 3400 block of Grassotti Court.

Blair should not be approached and may be armed with a firearm.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact 9-1-1 and can remain anonymous. Anyone with information regarding this investigation is encouraged to contact the Bakersfield Police Department at (661) 327-7111.

ORIGINAL RELEASE:

On August 6th, 2021, at approximately 4:54 AM, the Bakersfield Police Department received reports of a shooting in an apartment complex in the 3400 block of Grassotti Court.

Upon arrival officers located two adult victims, one female and one male, suffering from apparent gunshot injuries. Both victims succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced deceased.

The identities of the victims will be released by the Kern County Coroner’s Office at a later time.

This is an ongoing and rapidly evolving investigation, there have been no arrests at this time.
