Students with the Kern High School District will be able to get invaluable hands-on experience working in the new R.O.C Cafe and Bakery now open at the Regional Occupational Center. This new full-service restaurant will give culinary arts students the chance to cook and provide for local residents which ROC Principal Brian Miller says is critical to their education. With state-of-the-art labs, culinary arts students can prepare meals that are served by hospitality students, which allows them to get hands-on experience as well.
The Cafe and Bakery is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for breakfast and lunch. It’s recommended diners call ahead for availability.
