On Thursday, officials with the United State Postal Inspection Service returned the stolen Buck Owens’ guitar to the Oildale Post Office.

On December 28, 2021, the post office known as the “Buck Owens Post Office” was broken into and suspect made off with packages and the guitar. After months of investigation, the guitar was recovered. Postal Inspector Matthew Norfleet thanked the citizens of Kern County and the Kern County Sheriff’s Office for their help in recovering the guitar intact.

Norfleet says there is no public suspect information at this time but they are investigating persons of interest.
