UPDATE: According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, Drown was arrested on October 9th. Multiple arrests were made during a KCSO decoy operation.His charges are the following:
PC 288.3(a) – Contacting a minor with the intent to commit a sex act
PC 288.4(a)(1) – Arranging to meet with a minor with the intent to commit a sex act
PC 288.4(b) – Going to the arranged meeting place

The Bakersfield Condors released a statement regarding the arrest of their Head Athletic Trainer, Chad Drown.
Details are few but the Condors released a statement at 7:45 p.m. Sunday night. The statement can be seen in full below:

The Condors’ parent club, Edmonton Oilers also released a statement saying, “We are working closely with Bakersfield Condors management & fully support the decision to relieve Mr. Drown of his duties.“
No details have been made available about when or where the arrest and alleged offense occurred.
