GREENFIELD KIDS GET NEW SHOES

Hundreds of students from the Greenfield Union School District will have warm feet this winter as part of Operation Happy Feet. Jordan Green from the Greenfield Family Resource Center says over 200 kids got to pick a pair of new shoes this week thanks to donations from businesses and community groups, and they’re not done yet. “We’re hoping that will be over 300 this year. Our goal is 400, so we’re going to keep pushing that goal and making sure these kids are ready to go to school and ready to learn.” Green says school staff refer students for the shopping trip if they are wearing shoes that are taped, worn out, or that don’t fit properly.
