FOUR RESCUED SAFELY FROM RIVER NEAR HOBO CAMPGROUND

Four people have been rescued, one of them rather dramatically, after getting stranded in their raft on the Kern River. Kern County Search and Rescue was called out to Hobo Campground around 2:30 Sunday afternoon, and they were able to pull three of the men to shore rather quickly. Lori Meza with the Sheriff’s Office says the fourth man was stuck on a tree branch, so rescuers constructed a technical rope system…
