BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) –A 25-year-old pedestrian is dead after being struck by a vehicle in south Bakersfield.
California Highway Patrol officers responded Monday morning to the 5300 block of South Union Avenue near Garden Drive, where a 68-year-old man driving a Toyota struck a woman as she was walking outside the crosswalk.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The CHP says the driver cooperated with investigators.
There’s no word if drugs or alcohol were factors in the accident.
