BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — A juvenile who was arrested for the death of a 12-year-old boy in Lamont has admitted to the killing.
Javier Armendariz admitted to both counts in juvenile court on Tuesday and also told the court he violated probation in connection to the death of Tristen Rodriguez in the 800 block of Gregory Avenue in October 2024.
Authorities haven’t released Armendariz’s age but say he could remain in custody until he’s 25 years old.
A sentencing hearing is scheduled for next month.
