BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — A man accused of a fatal shooting in Oildale has entered a plea in court.
Jonathan Fraze, 33, pleaded not guilty Wednesday in connection to the death of John Duval. Jr., 40, in the 100 block of East Warren Avenue on January 2, 2026.
Fraze is charged with first-degree murder and stalking and returns to court March 10, 2026.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office hasn’t said what led to the shooting.
