BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — A trio of juveniles are injured following a police chase that started in east Bakersfield.
It began Sunday at around 5:15 p.m when officers gave chase after spotting a stolen car near Flower and King Streets.
Police ended the pursuit for safety reasons, but the car continued and struck a guardrail on Highway 178 at the Baker Street overpass. All three juveniles were ejected and suffered major injuries.
178 was closed in both directions as police investigated.
