BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — One of three people involved in a police chase in east Bakersfield has died.
It started around 5:15 p.m. Sunday when officers gave chase after spotting a suspected stolen car at Flower and King Streets.
The pursuit proceeded onto Highway 178 where the car struck a concrete bridge abutment and flipped over, ejecting the three juveniles inside.
All three were injured, and one of them was pronounced dead at Kern Medical. There’s no word on his name.
Police say the car was stolen Sunday from the Target parking lot at Valley Plaza Mall.
