BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — Officials at California State University Bakersfield put the school on lockdown Monday following a threatof an active shooter on campus.
Authorities say the anonymous call came in at around 2:45 p.m. Monday after the caller threatened to shoot up the campus, then blow him or herself up.
Classes were canceled, students were ordered to shelter in place, and Kern County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene.
No active threat was confirmed.
Students return to their normal class schedules on Tuesday.
