BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — Former Kern County supervisor Zack Scrivner remains in compliance with the terms of his mental health diversion program.
That’s the word from a Kern County Superior Court judge who made the ruling on Thursday.
Scrivner, the former District 2 supervisor, was sentenced to the program last year after allegedly taking mind-altering substances and molesting his underage daughter at their house in Tehachapi in April 2024.
Kern County District Attorney Cynthia Zimmer is Scrivner’s aunt, so the state Attorney General’s Office handled the case, charging Scrivner with three counts of child endangerment, but no sex charges.
Those charges could be dropped if Scrivner successfully completes the program.
