BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — One of Kern County’s heroes with a badge has died.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday the death of Sergeant David George who died Sunday from pancreatic cancer.
In a social media post, KCSO said, “Sergeant George dedicated 19 years to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, serving our community with integrity, commitment, and compassion.”
George has been unable to work since last May.
He leaves behind a wife and five children.
