BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — A court hearing was postponed Monday in the case of Alan Booth, 75, who faces several charges after an alleged DUI crash at the Bakersfield Christmas parade.
The judge rescheduled the hearing for Thursday after Booth’s defense attorney asked for a delay because of a health issue.
Prosecutors say Booth drove his pickup truck while drunk with a blood-alcohol level more than three times the legal limit and injured several people at the parade in December 2023.
Booth was separately convicted in January on misdemeanor DUI charges in another case.
The trial date has been delayed numerous times.
