BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — Congressman Vince Fong, R-Bakersfield – has endorsed Chris Parlier in his reelection bid for the Kern County Board of Supervisors.
Fong praised Parlier, who represents District 2, as a “proven advocate” for Kern County’s oil and agriculture industries and says he needs local partners like Parlier fighting for the region’s economy.
The endorsement follows backing from the Central Valley Business Federation, Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood, and State Senator Shannon Grove.
Parlier is running against Sydney O’Connor, a first-time political candidate and local labor leader.
