BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — A 26-year-old man accused in a deadly east Bakersfield stabbing has been charged with first-degree murder.
Angel Garcia-Meza pleaded not guilty Tuesday, June 9, 2026, through the Public Defender’s Office and is being held without bail.
Authorities say Garcia-Meza was arrested hours after a man was found stabbed to death Sunday evening at a home on Grace Street.
He’s due back in court June 22, 2026.
