BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — A man is dead following a head-on crash in central Bakersfield.
It happened just after 1 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2026, in the 2300 block of 24th Street where a speeding wrong-way driver with no headlights on struck another vehicle.
The driver suffered major injuries and died at the hospital. The other driver suffered minor injuries.
Police say impairment appears to be a factor. No names have been released.
