BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — The Bakersfield Police Department has released its crime report for May showing officers responded to more than 25,000 911 calls and made over 1,000 arrests during the month.
The data show police logged 175 vehicle thefts, 66 robberies, and 91 burglaries. Officers also made 66 DUI arrests.
Other incidents included 137 aggravated assaults, 19 sexual assault cases, and 230 domestic violence reports.
There were no homicides in May.
Overall, crime statistics were similar to April when officers responded to just over 22,000 emergency calls and made 1,034 arrests.
