CALIFORNIA CITY, CA (KUZZ) — A 68-year-old man wanted in connection to a deadly dog attack in California City has been captured.
Kenneth Dobbins was arrested Thursday after a tip led Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies to his location in Lancaster.
Dobbins is accused in the June 18,2026 incident that left Fernando Moreno, 12, dead at Central Park where two children were attacked by dogs allegedly owned by Dobbins.
Investigators say Moreno drowned after running into a lake while trying to escape the attack. His sister was injured.
Dobbins was booked into Lerdo Jail on charges including involuntary manslaughter.
