BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — Some Kern County sheriff’s deputies are showing off a new look on the job.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office has unveiled a commemorative badge marking the nation’s 250th anniversary.
Deputies may choose to wear the special badge or the traditional one while on duty through July 2027.
Officials say the design honors America’s history and the department’s commitment to serving Kern County.
