BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — Thirty-six people were arrested for DUI during the California Highway Patrol’s Fourth of July holiday enforcement period.
CHP officers issued 471 citations and 99 warnings, impounded 51 vehicles, and responded to 26 crashes.
Eight of those crashes were DUI-related.
Despite the busy holiday weekend, no fatalities were reported.
