FRAZIER PARK, CA (KUZZ) — Residents in and around Frazier Park got an early morning wake-up call Sunday when a magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck the area.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake hit at 3:38 a.m. with its epicenter located about 1.4 miles southeast of Frazier Park.
A magnitude 3.2 aftershock followed at 10:53 a.m.
The USGS received reports of shaking from communities including Bakersfield, Lamont, Tehachapi, Pine Mountain Club, Santa Clarita, Lancaster and Palmdale.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
