SHAFTER, CA (KUZZ) — A former Shafter elementary school teacher will stand trial on charges involving the distribution and possession of child sexual abuse material.
A judge ruled Monday that there is enough evidence for the case against Zachary McGraw, 40, to move forward.
Investigators say McGraw admitted he owned a phone containing the files after a search allegedly found that the images had been uploaded through his home internet connection.
McGraw was a sixth-grade teacher at Golden Oak Elementary School at the time of his arrest in February 2025. He remains free on bail.
