BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — A Bakersfield woman accused of using a stun gun on her autistic adult son has pleaded no contest to two felony charges.
Tisa Armijo entered an open plea Tuesday over prosecutors’ objections.
A security guard and a nurse said Armijo used the weapon on her son in a pre-operative room at Kern Medical in July 2024.
Armijo faces up to one year in jail and three years of probation. She is scheduled to be sentenced September 10.
