BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified three people killed in a wrong-way crash early Sunday morning in north Bakersfield.
The victims were Kylie Wetmore, 20, her mother Vanessa, 40, and Kloie Wetmore, 16.
According to investigators, the vehicle carrying the three women collided with two other vehicles and caught fire on Highway 99 near Seventh Standard Road.
The California Highway Patrol is still investigating which vehicle was traveling the wrong way and whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
