BAKERSFIELD, CA ( KUZZ) — A Bakersfield man accused of sexually abusing an 8-year-old girl over several months will face trial after a judge found enough evidence to move the case forward.
Matthew Ramos, 24, remains in jail without bail.
Prosecutors allege Ramos admitted to sexually abusing the girl about twice a week for approximately four months.
Ramos was arrested in May after the girl’s mother allegedly caught him touching her daughter.
The case will now proceed toward trial.
