KERN HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT

The Kern High School District is offering a free weekly meal distribution for all community members every Wednesday in July at four district locations from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. No sign up is needed- just stop by to pick up meals. The locations are Arvin High School, Independence High School, Kern Valley High School, KHSD Central Kitchen.

The Wounded Heroes Fund

Attention Cornhole Players! The Wounded Heroes Fund’s Cornhole Tournament is Thursday, July 31st at their facility on Standard Street off Gilmore and Buck Owens Blvd. Prizes, Food, Drinks and more! All proceeds provide programs for local veterans in need.  Hosted by Kenn McCloud.

THE MOTHERHOOD PROJECT

The Motherhood Project is hosting a fundraiser, “Howdy, Let’s Get Rowdy!”, on August 1 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the Legends Event Center. Enjoy line dancing, a hat bar, shopping and permanent jewelry.

KERN VETERANS COLLABORATIVE

The Kern County Veterans Collaborative is holding a special event designed to honor, empower and support our veterans community. Its Friday August 8th from 8-Noon at BC’s Renegade Event Center. Keynote speaker is Master Gunnery Seargeant-retired Scott Stalker.

The California Living Museum
