Miranda Lambert, Leon Bridges Share Video For Duet ‘If You Were Mine’

Miranda Lambert and Leon Bridges recently released a video for their duet “If You Were Mine.”

The video, directed by Reid Long, features split screen visuals, drawing inspiration from Pablo Ferro‘s work in the 1960s film Thomas Crown Affair.

Lambert thanked Long and the lead actors in the video, Cece Barnes and Dyland Greene “for bringing the story to life.”

The visual shows Lambert and Bridges as performers in an intimate local dive bar, which happens to be the American Legion in East Nashville, the same bar where Lambert and Elle King filmed the “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)” music video.

Lambert, clad in a custom set by Denimcratic and wearing Established Jewelry, trades verses with Bridges. They watch a couple flowing between affection and confrontation and eventually finding happiness, inspired by their performance on the stage.

Lambert, who co-wrote “If You Were Mine” with Ashley Monroe and Jesse Frasure, released the Jon Randall-produced track early last month via Vanner Records.

Lambert said last month that she wrote the song with Bridges in mind and that she would’ve never released the ballad if Bridges wasn’t interested in joining her on it.

“If (Bridges) hadn’t wanted to cut it, I wouldn’t have released it. So glad he said yes and that it’s here,” she said when releasing the song.
