Trisha Yearwood Reflects On Bout With COVID-19

In a recent interview with People, Trisha Yearwood spoke about what it was like to live through her bout of COVID-19 while quarantining at her home with husband and fellow country star Garth Brooks.

Although her symptoms were considered mild, Brooks refused to leave her side despite health and safety concerns, she recalled.

“He would not stay away from me. I’m like, ‘Dude, I cannot be responsible for giving Garth Brooks COVID,'” Yearwood said jokingly. “‘You have to go quarantine on the other side of the house.'”

Brooks, however, who was vaccinated, never ended up getting the disease himself; “He took really good care of me, but he drove me crazy,” she added.
